BİL 109 Programlama ve Hesaplama I  

This course provides an introduction to the mathematical modeling of computational problems. It covers common algorithms, algorithmic paradigms, and data structures used to solve these problems. The course emphasizes the relationship between algorithms and programming and introduces fundamental performance metrics and analysis techniques for these problems. Written functions, conditional statements, and iteration (recursion) are included as fundamental methods for working with structured data.

ENG 111 Academic English I

This course is based on integrated skills in the four language areas—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—along with grammar and vocabulary. Through engaging content and systematic skill development, students will be able to express their ideas and enhance their communication abilities. The course also places a strong emphasis on study skills that promote independent learning. 

UHG 151 Introduction to University Life   

This course is designed to help students adapt to university life, enabling them to integrate smoothly into the new academic environment. It consists of a variety of activities offered in addition to academic work, all aimed at supporting students in achieving their goals and contributing to their personal development. Through programs that encourage students to become active individuals, it promotes engagement in social and cultural activities. By providing a weekly break for students, the program aims to foster intellectual curiosity, cultural sensitivity, and a sense of responsibility. Ultimately, it seeks to broaden students’ perspectives and educate them to become individuals who contribute positively to society and the world.

GRS 121 Girişimciliğin Temelleri

In order to become entrepreneurs and develop projects, our students receive knowledge on topics such as starting and managing a business, business accounting, entrepreneurship incentives, R&D and design center activities, and project funding opportunities. By collaborating with students from other programs who choose similar projects, they form teams and gain experience in working together on real ventures.

TUR 101 Turkish Language I

This course covers the definition of language, the social value of language, characteristics of written and oral expression, sentence structure, speech disorders, written and oral communication, effective reading, and text analysis.

KMY 103 Engineering Chemistry

Introduction to atomic and electronic structure, chemical bonding, molecular structure and bonding theories, properties of liquids, solids, and solutions, chemical equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, metal complexes, organic compounds, and nuclear chemistry.

ATA 101 Atatürk’s Principles and History of the Turkish Revolution I

This course covers topics such as the concept of revolution, the factors that led to the Turkish Revolution, the reasons behind the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, efforts to save the Ottoman Empire, ideological movements, World War I, Mustafa Kemal’s journey to Anatolia and the congresses, the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the War of Independence, and the Lausanne Conference.

MKN 104 Computer-Aided Technical Drawing

Introduction to CAD and 2D drawing techniques, 2D drawing methods, hand sketching techniques, orthographic projection, 3D solid modeling (extrude, cut, drill, revolve, loft, inclined and slanted surfaces, holes, editing, assembling), layout creation and auxiliary views, sectioning principles (full, half, broken, revolved, ribs, meshes, alignment), dimensioning, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), assembly and machine elements (bolts, nuts, other threaded elements, gears, cams, locking devices), assemblies and working drawings, surface development.

ENG 112 Academic English II

IYE 128  İş Yeri Eğitimi

Students take this course in a workplace setting, attending one day per week to observe and gain hands-on experience. The goal of the course is to provide prospective professionals with the opportunity to observe experienced senior staff and workplace trainers on the job, and, even if limited, to work individually on specific tasks. Activities carried out during the workplace experience course are designed to equip students with various skills necessary to become competent professionals. Students’ progress in understanding and identifying their future profession, as well as acquiring the competencies required for that profession, will be evaluated by university instructors in close collaboration with experienced workplace trainers and mentors.

MAT 204 Lineer Cebir ve Mühendislik Uygulamaları

Matrices, determinants, systems of linear equations, vector spaces, the concepts of basis and dimension, linear transformations, change of basis, inverse of a linear transformation, isomorphisms, characteristic equations, eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and the Jordan form. Numerical techniques for computing eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Inner product spaces, orthogonality, quadratic forms, and normed spaces. 

UHG 152 Building the Future

As a continuation of the “Introduction to University Life” course, this course aims to develop highly qualified individuals by enhancing students’ competencies in areas such as career planning, interview processes, personal image, and communication. Through various seminars, it also introduces developments in science, technology, industry, creative thinking, and R&D, while equipping students with the ability to think rationally and critically, make sound judgments, produce practical solutions, and evaluate future job opportunities. The course also seeks to contribute to the advancement of fundamental sciences in our country by offering students opportunities for applied research, enriching existing knowledge and ideas, and preparing professionals to meet the needs of various industries.

GRS 122 Girişimcilik Projesi  

To prepare our students to be entrepreneurial and proactive in real business life and the global environment, this course will cover topics such as business plan preparation and scheduling, business plan analysis and modeling, cost estimation, specification drafting, evaluation, invoicing, innovation-realization, commercialization, and company formation.

ATA 102 Atatürk’s Principles and History of the Turkish Revolution I

This course covers the proclamation of the Republic and the political, social, cultural, and economic reforms; unresolved issues from the Treaty of Lausanne and their outcomes; movements against the new order; attempts at a multi-party system and their consequences; Turkish foreign policy during the Atatürk era; the İnönü period and the years of World War II; Turkey’s transition to a multi-party system; the Democrat Party period and beyond; as well as the concept of Kemalism and the principles of Atatürk.

TUR 102 Turkish Language II

This course covers topics such as derivational suffixes in Turkish, inflectional suffixes in Turkish, types of words, sentence structure, and the reading and analysis of selected texts.



MAT 202 Differential Equations

Classification of differential equations. Solution methods for first-order differential equations. Solution methods for higher-order linear differential equations: equations with constant coefficients, method of undetermined coefficients, variation of parameters, solution using power series. Solving differential equations using Laplace transforms and convolution. Systems of differential equations. Multivariable differential equations.

Introduction to demand, supply, and the determination of market prices; consumer behavior; elasticities; production function; behavior of profit-maximizing firms; monopoly, perfect competition, and oligopoly markets; national income, GDP, deflator, business cycles, recession, unemployment, price stability, and economic growth.

IYU 327 İş Yeri Uygulaması III

Within the scope of this course, students spend one day per week gaining practical experience in the workplace. They take the course in a real work environment. Prospective professionals have the opportunity to become familiar with the working environment and fully participate in workplace activities. The work to be carried out during the workplace experience is planned before the beginning of the term, taking into account the nature of the workplace and the input of both the students and the workplace mentors who will guide them.



END 304  Work Study and Ergonomics

This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of Work Study and Ergonomics. Topics covered include: introduction, problem-solving tools, operations analysis, design of manual tasks, time study, standard data and formulas, work sampling, predetermined time systems, job analysis, job evaluation and compensation, design, workplace design, and cognitive task design.

END 308 Production Planning and Control II

This course covers topics including stochastic and independent demand inventory management, master production scheduling, capacity requirements planning, push-based production systems (MRP, MRP II), production activity control (scheduling and priority rules for different production systems), project management, and pull-based production systems (just-in-time production and Kanban).

END 403 Simulation

Fundamental principles and analysis of discrete-event simulation. Comparison of event-driven and process-based simulation approaches. Methods for generating random numbers following specified statistical distributions; inverse transform and other techniques. Input data analysis and goodness-of-fit tests. Simulation applications in software, output analysis, and specialized software developed for model validation. 

END 306 Quality Planning and Control

Principles of quality audit systems; concepts of process auditing; specification and tolerance concepts; process capability analyses; control charts; acceptance sampling plans; cost aspects of quality decisions; quality improvement programs; quality information systems.

END 401 Graduation Project I

This project-based course includes system and process design, literature review on methodology, development and analysis of mathematical and statistical models, and the validation, verification, simulation, and sensitivity analysis of decision support systems under constraints such as risk, quality, and sustainability. It provides team experience in design projects and synthesizes ethical and other social aspects with the knowledge accumulated throughout the undergraduate program. IE 401 covers the understanding and definition of the relevant system and the clarification of the problem.

IYD 428  İş Yeri Deneyimi III

In the final semester of the program, all students will receive practical training at a factory or production unit located in any district of Ankara, in accordance with the predefined principles and guidelines set by OSTİM Technical University. Additionally, within the framework of the development and cooperation between OSTİM Technical University and OSTİM Clusters, students will undertake internships or on-the-job training at a factory or production unit in Ankara under a cooperation protocol. In this course, each student will identify problematic areas related to the design, production, installation, and maintenance of various systems encountered at the factory or production unit where they complete their internship or on-the-job training. Students will collaborate with the company to develop innovative next-generation solution proposals for these areas. They will conceptualize, design, develop, and implement a project based on these ideas. The projects carried out in this course will be evaluated as the performance grade.
